SPINE ALIGNMENT TO MAKE LIFE EASIER

 "DON'T  WORK HARD, WORK SMART".

People who sit for long hours such as working on the computer, are at high risk of non accidental back injuries.

OFFICE CHAIRS, BACK INJURIES
These include:-
  1. Neck strain
  2. Low back pain
  3. Weak trapezius muscle
  4. Stress pain at the occiput (back of the head)
  5. Leg pain
  6. Stiff thoracic spine
  7. Restricted in and outflow of air in the thorax.
Causes

  • An inactive job or a desk job can contribute to back pain. Especially sitting without adequate support puts strain on the ligaments and joints.
  • Inadequacy of calcium and vit D results in weak bones and ligaments
  • Smoking reduces stress as accepted by many, so does it reduce the blood flow to the lumbar spine. Scientifically proven.
  • Mental stress results in unhealthy weight gain, resulting in inappropriate weight transmission though different parts of the body. Thereby causing damage at various levels.
PREVENTION:-

  • Opt for a chair that supports the spinal curves.

  • If required to sit for long hours, take frequent walks, possibly stretching.
  • Avoid keeping wallets, phones etc in the back pocket of trousers while sitting. It exerts unnecessary pressure on lower back.
  • When required to talk over the phone and write or type keep the phone on speeker or use headset, to avoid unnecessary bending and twisting.
  • Listen to your body
"You are not committed to back pain, you can address the situation and get rid of it."
