Playing in mud, sand, water, foam, grains, liquid colours etc is called as messy play. Handling and playing with these things help to develop precision and grip in children thus enabling them to develope pre writing skills and then be able to write efficiently.

      So next time your child is playing with mud it ain't yeeeewww.... He's doing the right homework.....
